This will be a blog chronicling what little adventures I encounter in life. If you wish to donate money to my adventures fund, please don't hesitate to do so.
It’s a rather stark difference from my old host home. I live in an apartment here, with a woman and her son Jin. He’s adorable but a little shy. But then again so am I, so it works out. He doesn’t speak any English, but his mom actually speaks some English, which is rather nice honestly. Although she keeps feeling the need to explain everything in English, even if I understood what she was saying in Japanese. Oh well.
And whereas with Ota-san she did everything for me, here I’m pretty much on my own. A half hour into the homestay I was making rice balls, and this morning she sent Jin and I on an errand to the 7-11. Also I have to take two buses to school every day. And I sleep on a futon.
But I’m really enjoying it. It was kind of weird having someone do everything for me, so I’m glad I have stuff to do here. AND THERE IS INTERNET. Slow internet, but still. I probably won’t be on much still, though. Busy life, man. I was spending way too much time on the internet back at home anyway. Gotta change that sometime. Sorry, guys.
But I think I’m going to the super-famous zoo here tomorrow! With Sam and his host family. And a Buddhist temple! I think!
I’m excited, it’s gonna be awesome. :D
Everyone keeps telling me how pretty I am, hohohohoho.
And I`m enjoying all the stares and people wanting to take pictures far too much than is good for me.
My English is getting worse as my Japanese is getting better, it`s hilarious.
Also we met the mayor of Asahikawa today, and I think they said we`re going to be in the newspaper tomorrow… We`re seriously celebrities. It is so awesome.
I may never leave. You`ll have to drag me away kicking and screaming. I love Japan.
After many strenuous hours of packing, I can finally say that I’m done and ready to go!
…I think.
Well, anyway, I’m not getting any sleep tonight.
Leaving in approximately 8 hours!
Japan is awesome! I love it so much. I feel like I`m learning Japanese really fast, but then I still don`t understand 99% of what people are saying.
We played koto today, and it was so awesome. I want one. They said I was really good at it, and I was like YAY I`M MUSICALLY INCLINED. My host mom has a koto so I`m gonna show her what I learned when I go home. I tried to play her piano yesterday but I forgot how to play things. xD
Tomorrow we do Kendo! I`m uber excited.
I have a Japanese lesson soon so I`m gonna go. Sorry for the lack of updates, but as you probably know I have no internet at my home. But I switch host families on Friday, so we`ll see if my second home has internet.
Adios, my friends!
